NEPHI'S COURAGE: FLIP CHART

Can you believe we are almost halfway through this year already?  And now we are ready to start a new month and a new song. Well, maybe not so new of a song with "Nephi's Courage" being a Primary favorite for most. Although I am not planning on using a flip chart to help teach this song, I thought I would still post mine in case someone might like to use it. Well, maybe I might go ahead and post the FC on the board for the teachers. That seems to help them a bit.

Just an FYI, for the chorus, each verse has it's own picture version. Also in the chorus, since you repeat the same phrases twice each time you sing the chorus, I did not duplicate the chorus pages twice for each verse. I figured they can just repeat that part of the flip chart. That makes less pages to print and less page turning. I suppose you could go ahead and print another set for each verse if that is what tickles your fancy. I will also be posting what I plan to do in introducing and teaching this song. I almost have the post typed up and hope to post it sometime Saturday morning. Things have been so hectic that I can't seem to find time lately to post things in advance. So sorry about that. Here is the flip chart for "Nephi's Courage".

  1. I love flip charts but would really love to see them with only pictures, no words and downloading in the pdf format does not allow you to pull the photos off and just use them. Any way to just add the photos only??

    1. Diane, Yeah, a pdf file does make it more difficult to separate the pictures from the words, but the best way to share files is in a pdf format so no matter what computer and software you have, the file should be the same for everyone; otherwise, if you don't have the program, which many would not have some of the software I use, than quite a few people will not be able to open the file. Sometimes I will have the words on one page and the picture on the opposite page so that if you only want the picture or the words you have the choice, like I did with "If the Savior Stood Beside Me". On others, yes I mix the words and the picture on the same page. If time permits, I will try and include a picture only file in the new flip charts I create and maybe as I add flip charts I already have created, I can see about working on picture only versions for those. No promises, but I will try.

    1. The LDS web site has been adding a lot of great pictures to their new image library which has been making it a bit easier to get pictures. YIPPEEEEE! Other pictures I have just "clipped" from the online Friend and other church magazines that I search through every now and again and have saved copies of over the years; although, it can be a bit time consuming to search through the magazines for pictures. Hope that helps.
